Obituary for Rosella Addie "Rose" Benson
Rosella "Rose" Addie (Bowen) Benson was born in Gresham, Oregon on July 8, 1970. Rose graduated from Parkrose High School in 1988. Rose loved music, growing up she listened to Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, A-ha. Rose went to many concerts in earlier years, including Richard Marx and Matchbox 20. She also was part of the track team throughout high school. Rose had many jobs including working for American General Finance for many years. Also Van Dykes grocery store here in Roundup. Rose was married to the love of her life Mike Benson. Rose loved being with Mike fishing, camping. Rose and Mike have been together for about 20 years and finally made it official August 20, 2014. Rose past away unexpectedly in her sleep July 10, 2018, just 2 days after her 48th birthday. Rose fought epilepsy for many years, and COPD.
Rose is preceded in death by her Parents; Jack and Carol Bowen of Portland; brother, Rodney Laverne Thayer born in 1968, he died shortly after birth.
Rose is survived by her husband, Mike Benson; Son, Trevor of Billings; Daughter, Amanda (Motorman) of Kentucky; 1 granddaughter and 3 grandsons; 3 stepkids, Heaven, Jack and Nate all of Montana; Sisters, Denise (Todd) of Oregon City, Oregon, Diana (Tom) of Rainier, Oregon; Brother, Jack (Melissa) of Rainier, Oregon; Nieces, Rachel and Jackie; Nephews, Gabriel, Devon, Anthony and Andrew. And 4 great nephews.
Rose has been in Roundup for about 18 years and has many dear friends. In lieu of flowers please donate to Rose's cremation. (WIER FUNERAL HOME).
Rose was a loving caring person and she will be missed by many. There was a private viewing for family on July 12th. There will be a gathering at Rose's favorite bar... The KEG. REST IN PARADISE SISTER. We will miss you.
